Has anyone seen the new Macy's ad featuring a monotone version of From Me To

I think only diehard Beatles fans hate this stuff. The average person
doesn't come away with this kind of negative feelings toward using well
known songs in commercials. It's been going on for years, and made some

I saw another Macy's ad today with the same song, but melody closer to
the original. It didn't make me cringe like the rap-style version from
last week.

artists, like Seeger, more than they ever made from the actual
releases;)

The average person might not recognize that it has anything to do with
The Beatles.

Unfortunately yes, just last night. Since I have a pathololical hatred
of all commercials I always mute the effeing TeeVee during them. Last
night I didn't make it in time and oh lord, how pathetic.

Yes...I heard it last night too. I was pleasantly surprised to hear an early
Beatles tune in an ad. While it doesn't replace the Beatles version, it
updates it. Not all that bad in my opinion.
