Richard Fangnail...
This is a made-for-VH1 film about John Lennon and Paul McCartney's
getting together in 1976 at John's apt. I was surprised but I liked
it. It was fictionalized, but many of the small details were accurate.
Jared Harris doesn't look or sound like John but he SEEMED like John.
The film succeeded in showing how the two had resentments but still
love for each other.

The opening music was an unexpected usage of Peter Frampton's song
"Show Me the Way" whose lyrics seemed to match the situation. Also the
opening theme was Indian-sounding music with a little drum fill that
sounded like Ringo. It was directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg who filmed
the real Beatles in Let It Be.

All in all I would recommend it to all Beatle fans.

I thought it was very interesting, though pure speculation.
I thought they did a good job of capturing the personalities of John
and Paul, and using those to drive the imagined meeting.
It was good Beatle-related entertainment.

My favorite Beatles-related movie is "Back Beat", though.

The Lennon tv movie was good but I thought they made him out to be a
little more negative and sour than he was.

Tom Rudge...
Good find.

I saw this movie a couple of years ago and I must agree. Although it is
a total fiction, this film goes a long way towards showing what a final
dialogue between John and Paul may have been like. The actors (Aiden
Quinn also credibly acts McCartney) manage to convey a real sense of
their characters and we soon forget their physical dissimilarities to
the real thing.

The wordiness of the film suggests that it may have had it origins in a
stage play but I can't recall whether this was mentioned in the
credits.

While it may not be one of the greatest pieces of filmaking, "Two of
Us" is an enjoyable treat for the fans.

It certainly was by far the most literate, best-written script ever associated
with a Beatles-themed film.

Except for the Bee Gees'/Frampton Sgt. Pepper film, of course.
