OT: The CARS

I heard on a local oldie radio station that they are re-forming with Todd
Rundgren... sounds interesting... I liked some of their music.

I won't beleive it unless it happens. The cars blew their load after
their first or second album.
Todd should join "the Knack." They need help.

Yeah, gonna be called 'The New Cars'. With Todd and Kasim Sulton. Strangest
twist yet to Todd's career. Hopefully they mix in some Utopia tunes too.

Without the late Benjamin Orr, They may even get along. I liked their
sound in the late 70's and early 80's but it suffers now from being
dated. Many of the songs could be updated and have new life. Too much
80's synth that was prominant then.

But no Orr or Ocasek?!? That's absurd. BTW, Ocasek tried to reform
the Cars in the mid-90s but Orr held out. BTW, Orr wasn't the main
source of friction in that band; Ocasek was.

front men of bands don't work with anyone, and there's usually one head

You're right.

I'd say the Cars' first four albums were all good. It's with their
biggest-selling record, Heartbeat City, that they shot their wad, IMO.
