PETA: No ad campaign with Heather

If PETA is now going to snub Heather merely because she is in a
personal battle with Paul McCartney, it makes me think less of PETA.
I am not a fan of Heather, but it seems to me she has been a vocal
animal rights activist and has done a lot of good charity work. PETA
should welcome all good faith supporters.

Boycotting Heather sounds rather cruel . . . .

It seems as if certain people and organizations are cutting Heather off
like a gangranous limb. If this is the case, If I were Heather's
divorce lawyers, I would use this as ammo for an even bigger
settlement. Look how this divorce is wrecking her life.

Heather made some bad mistakes in her youth and must accept the blame
for that, but PETA should be treating her fairly.

In the US, if I were Heather, I might consider some type of RICO claim

How does this impact Paul personally? He's supposed to be responsible
for a third party's decision to like her or not? Don't think so.

I was basing my opinion on an article or two I had read which claimed
that Paul was viewed as a powerful participant in PETA's causes, and
that the McCartney family allegedly was exerting pressure to have
Heather cut off.

Of course, if PETA does not like Heather that is one thing. My point
was if the allegations are true, I don't think that is right . . .
.Powerful Paul and his daughters Mary and Stella should not be
pressuring PETA to "blackball" Heather.

True, but unfortunately in divorce situations there may be no pressure
to take a side but people feel obligated in an unspoken way, and I
guess Paul has a very very long history with PETA while Heather does
not.

In fact, what it tells everyone is Heather was never the draw, Paul
was. Once that meal ticket evaporated they had no use for Heather. Or
more probably, Heather alienated so many people they finally had the
chance to cut her loose. From what I have heard she has been so rude
to people at fundraisers, it was clear the organizers only put up with
her because... gee, I wonder why they put up with her?

Compare her to Dana Reeve. She didn't get dumped by anyone.

Good point. Given Heather's very strident and public antics with J-Lo and a
few others she clearly thought she had the right to be in-your-face and no
one would scold her.
