Question on Tribute albums

I posted this a few days ago, but got no replies... So I'm starting a
new thread to see what happens

does someone know just how many Beatles Tribute albums were
recorded? There must be easily over a thousand around the world. Some

years ago I was trying to compile a comprehensive list, but each year
brings us new tributes, like an endless stream... Some examples off the

godismycodependent...

There are a number of web pages that talk about Beatles cover albums,
but I don't know of any one that has a comlete list, or anything close
to it.

top of my head: McLemore Av, Chpmunks, I am Sam sdtk, All this and
Wolrd War II, Sgt Pepper (Bee Gees and co.), Motown does TB, King's
Singers, Chet Atkins plays TB, Come Together (country artists), Let it
be (Laibach), Hollyridge Strings, London Symphony Orch, plus Reggae,
Heavy Metal, Soul, Jazz, Classic tribute albums, and etc, etc,
etc........... In some cases it's just one artist, in others it's a
number of them.
There's a web page dedicated to Beatles covers, sorted by song, that
includes a list of some of this albums, but it's no way complete (it
doesn't even come close). I'm sure this whole thing merits an entry in
the Guiness Book of Records...

So, can you help me compiling such a list? Has someone already done the
job for me?
