One scene that I like is when John sniffs the Coke bottle. It took me
years to figure that out.

Thanks for pointing that out. I never caught that even after multiple
viewings. I was disappointed in how much the Beatles were shown
smoking but I guess that's the way things were back then.

It's interesting to note that the old man on the train that tells Ringo
to turn off his radio is about the same age as Ringo is today. Can you
imagine Ringo telling a young kid to turn off the rap music he was
listening to today? No need to now that iPODs come with ear buds.

Speaking of the Beatles smoking, I have a documentary film about the
Beatles somewhere. I forget the title. It was shot by a film maker
over the course of a few days or weeks (I think) while they were
touring the US (in 1964?). The film itself is nothing special (unless
of course you are a Beatles fan). However one thing I noticed is that
on this film at least one or two of the Beatles are smoking CONSTANTLY.
So even if one or two of them weren't smoking, they were breathing in
second hand smoke. It was really weird to see.

And then while I was watching this I was thinking of poor George . . .
