I would think being married to Yoko would be so...umm...memorable,
you'd remember it in a future life. So what was it like being married
to him in the 1600s?

One of the interesting theories about not-quite-
reincarnation I've heard is based on membrane theory.

That is, assuming space/time is the same thing, and
that events create space/time out of the universe's
energy at large, by forming more ordered and complex
energetic arrangements that generate space/time so
that they, the more ordered arrangement of energy,
can exist.

Well, the more ordered energetic arrangement and
space/time sustain each other, so once an event has
happened, it continues to exist.

That is, the new events creating the present coexist
with the old events that happened before, that created
the past, but were never destroyed.

And thus reincarnation doesn't exist, but co-existence
does. People can somehow set up a harmonic with the
past, because its events exist side by side with the
events of today, without sharing the same time/space.
