ragseely...
It was pointed out to me not long ago that the star nearest our own is
Alpha Centauri. And an spacecraft, travelling from that vicinity to
earth at the likely speed of, say, one million miles per hour would
need about three milennia to meet its destination. Well, my dears,
this leaves us (those of us with the education necessary to tackle the
problem) with two distinct possibilities.

1. The aliens who mingle with us are quite aged. At first, this
possibility seems quite good and logical. Inevitable even. But those
of us fortunate enough to be experiencers know that the aliens do not
look at all aged. Much like our own beloved Yoko, they seem almost
unnaturally youthful! And when they have their way with us, it is,
make no mistake, with what can only be described as with the vigor of
youth! So this is not after all an option.

2. The aliens have found the means to exist outside of time. This,
upon careful evaluation, is the only real possility. It makes perfect
sense and is all-explaining. It is also quite inspiring! Why just
this afternoon it inspired me to pen one of my famous poems!

Here you are, my dears. And, yes, musicians among us: You are quite
welcome to set these words to music, though I remind you once again, I
want the music to be Lennonish. Alright, I won't keep you waiting any
longer! Here's the poem!

"Timelessness"

By RAG Seely

Our lights can penetrate the mist
And in the darkness shine
We have found how to exist
Beyond the realm of time

Beam aboard our glowing ship
We head for warmer climes
We have found how to exist
Outside the grasp of time

Lonely souls we shall enlist
And make them feel sublime
We have found how to exist
Beyond the clutch of time

Enter a place of timelessness
Eternal in our prime
We have found how to exist
Beyond the realm of time

Lookingglass...
...shouldn't the lyrics be "Lennonish"... ;^)
