truthiness...
Walking down the sidewalk one purple afternoon,
I was accosted by a barker playing a simple tune upon his flute.
Toottoottoottoot.

That's "Angry," (from another album, Press to Play), way up toward the
tippy-top of my list of absolute favorite underrated/unknown McCartney
tracks that are not only gems in their own right but so radically
different from everything we think we're supposed to know and expect
from McCartney - different in sound, extremely different in lyrical
tone, and just explosive in rock energy. Plus the writing itself and
the production, extremely clever IMO. Great track, unbelievable vocal.

Runnnerr...
Yeah, it's a real shame and to his own musical detriment that Paul
doesn't do entire albums with songs like this. Unfortunately, I
sometimes think that he'd rather be known for stuff like "From A Lover
To A Friend", not a terrible song, but give me a kick ass rocker from
Paulie anyday over any ballad that he does.

Silver rain was falling down
Upon the dirty ground of london town.

abby again...
We were vacationing in Asheville, NC not long after I got the London Town
cd. Asheville is an artsy, mountian town - their art museum featured one of
Linda's photo exhibits at the time. It was early May - the weekend Wingspan
debuted on TV. The air was chilly with intermittent misting rain/drizzle. We
were walking along and a big man with long hair was sitting on a planter
playing a flute. We stopped and listened as did several teenaged boys who
were practicing their new skateboard tricks.

People pass me by on my imaginary street,
Ordinary people it's impossible to meet,
Holding conversations that are always incomplete.
Well i don't know.

abby again...
The place was crawling with homeless teens who somehow had the money to dye
their hair a variety of colors - bold red being the most popular. They all
seemed to know each other as they passed by while carrying their huge
backpacks. We later learned that most of those kids were trust fund babies
who were rebelling against their affluent upbringing.

Abby??? OMG!!!!!!!! Happy Thursday!!!!!!!!

Oh, where are there places to go?
Someone, somewhere has to know.
I'don't know.

Out of work again, the actor entertains his wife
With the same old stories of his ordinary life.
Maybe he exaggerates the trouble and the strife.
Well, i don't know.

Oh, where are there places to go?
Someone, somewhere has to know.

Crawling down the pavement on a sunday afternoon,
I was arrested by a rozzer
Wearing a pink balloon about his foot.
Toot toot toot toot.
Silver rain was falling down
Upon the dirty ground of london town.

Someone, somewhere has to know.
Silver rain was falling down
Upon the dirty ground of london town.

Runnnerr...
This is really good stuff. This post would make excellent lyrics to a
song.

scrinine...
I dunno, it's awfully close the Wiggles, "Hot Potato, Hot Potato"...

abby again...
Fruit Salad! Yummy, yummy!

Runnnerr...
I'm a hokey-pokey man myself.

Does anyone in here know how to Madison?

Runnnerr...
"Madison" was the name of Darryl Hannah's character in "Splash". I'd
have loved to have done that.
