Magic Alex...
Let's discuss some of the worst songs by the Beatles. I am going to
group them into two categories.

DoctorElefant...
C'mon, Alex. They're all excellent songs. You just have to listen to

sequentially...
Just push in the mono switch on your stereo. It's what it's there for.

DoctorElefant...
I was joking.

them in mono.

Category 1 - Songs so bad that they should have not been released.

F Parella...
Revolution # 9
What Goes On
The Long and Winding Road
Let it Be
Good Night
Maxwell's Silver Hammer
Mean Mr. Mustard
Polythene Pam

abby again...
That's my favorite part of the medley!

Seth Jackson...
I have so many favorite parts, and that's one of them!

abby again...
It's dreadful at times - depending on my mood.

Seth Jackson...
"I don't like it" is a whole lot different from "the song is awful".
If the song were truly awful, it's doubtful that so many people would
consider it one of the greatest pop songs ever written.

Bungalow Bill
The Ballad of John and Yoko

Barbara & Wim Meijnen & Kombrink...
Revolution #9
Octopus's Garden
Sie Liebt Dich
Komm gib mir deine Hand

Category 2 - Songs that are listenable, but so weak that they add no
value to the Beatles Catalog.

Barbara & Wim Meijnen & Kombrink...
Don't Bother Me
Matchbox
Blue Jay Way
Maxwell's Silver Hammer

Here are mine, more or less chronologically:

Category One:
Mr. Moonlight

Algalene-Feathersworp...
I get the feeling they meant this one as sort of a joke

Tell me what you see

Algalene-Feathersworp...
Agree

Seth Jackson...
Good song.

Long Long Llong

Algalene-Feathersworp...
I like it

Manco...
THis is a great song, I can't believe you think it's bad in any way.

Revolution No 9

Algalene-Feathersworp...
I've always liked this a lot

Seth Jackson...
Worthy experiment.

Good Night

Algalene-Feathersworp...
Well, it's a good end to the album.

Category Two:
Chains

Algalene-Feathersworp...
It's not too bad

I Call Your Name

Algalene-Feathersworp...
One of my favorites!

A Taste Of Honey
Little Child
Matchbox

Algalene-Feathersworp...
I think it's really good

Not a second time

Algalene-Feathersworp...
Well, at least it has a good vocal

Seth Jackson...
Nothing wrong with this one.

Devil in Her Heart

Algalene-Feathersworp...
Didn't use to like this one too much, but it's grown on me

Every Little Thing
I Don't Want to Spoil the Party

Seth Jackson...
Great song.

What You're Doing

Seth Jackson...
You must be joking. This was one of my favorite Beatles songs when I
was a kid, and I still love it.

I'm happy just to dance with you

Seth Jackson...
Good song.

I should have known better

Seth Jackson...
Wow. This is a great one.

Love you too

Algalene-Feathersworp...
Come on now! Those are two great songs!

Don't pass me by
Only a Northern Song
She's leaving home

poisoned rose...
Good:

Seth Jackson...
Great song.

All together now

Seth Jackson...
Good song.

Maxwell's Silver Hammer

Seth Jackson...
Good song.

Free as a Bird (Did Yoko give them the best quality tape she had? I've

poisoned rose...
Weak:

heard boots where Lennon's vocal is much clearer. It sounds like she
dubbed the original casette onto another tape using a cheap dual
cassette deck... I've wondered if she tried to sabotage the project by
doing so).

Algalene-Feathersworp...
I think it sounds that way because of the massive noise reduction that
was used, but I could be wrong. I don't really care for the song
anyway.

Real Love (Although I like Lennon's version on the Imagine Soundtrack,

poisoned rose...
Bad (I guess I could "live without" these):

which was also from a cassette, although the quality is very good).

Algalene-Feathersworp...
I like this one much more than Free as a Boyd.

A few songs I find to be limp and flaccid:
Ask Me Why

Magic Alex...
I like this one OK

It's Only Love

Magic Alex...
Was originally on my list, but I like the odd tempo of it.

Octopus's Garden

Magic Alex...
Missed this one. It's not worty of "Abbey Road"

Blue Jay Way

Magic Alex...
I can see that. But I like the psychadelic feel to it.

Magical Mystery Tour

Magic Alex...
Some of it is bad, but there are parts of it I like.

The Fool On The Hill

Magic Alex...
Agreed.

Seth Jackson...
Wow. To me, this is a classic.

Your Mother Should Know

Magic Alex...
Definitely.

Seth Jackson...
Can't say I agree with too many of your choices.

I've left off a few that I'm sure others will include, like Wild Honey
Pie and You Know my Name. However, these were never intended to be
"serious" songs, and I appreciate the humorous spirit of them.

Runnnerr...
Thanks for your opinion. As to the latter category, they obviously have
some value as they've given you a topic to write about.

Which of your songs fall into each of these categories?
