Revolver is imperfect

I'm Only Sleeping is not very good. It shouldn't have been so close to
the beginning.

Walter Traprock...
The best song on the album! I say, the American Revolver stinked,
because it's not on there.

I must say, I was disappointed with the Capitol Revolver, I asked dad
for the "album that starts with Yellow Submarine that I heard at a
friends house" but he refused.

Toke up a number the next time. It should make a much better impression
on you then...

George's sitar songs never made it with me. It's hard to sit through
Love You To or Within You Without You (which is on Sgt Pepper). One
nice thing about Abbey Road is there's no sitar.

Lizz Holmans...
I think you misspelled 'Astral Weeks'

Lizz 'Van is the Man' Holmans

IBen Getiner...
That's because your musical tastes are too narrow-minded. Sounds great
to me.

Paul really outdid John on Revolver. Compare the songs by each.

F Parella...
Paul's Revolver songs are more meticulous, Lennon's sound as if they
were written and recorded quickly. Personally I love "Only Sleeping";
it seems inspired to me.

I sort of agree with you about George's sitar songs. He went a little
too far with the Indian stuff on some of his music. The sitar on
"Norwegian Wood" works great, 'cause it's not overdone; it adds a nice
touch of the exotic. "Love You To" is interesting, but a bit
curry-drenched for my liking. George's "If I Needed Someone," from
Rubber Soul, is a more successful composition IMO.

Yeah.. Like Good Day Sunshine... That really says a lot, doesn't it...?

Dale Houstman...
Songs sdon't have to "say a lot" to be good: they aren't philosophical
theses. Also, what a song "says" is revealed as much through how it
sounds as through what the lyrics say. And so "Good Day Sunshine" says
one very nice thing: it's a great day and let's feel great too. For my
money, that's a marvelous statement.

IBen Getiner...
Yep.. You're right on that point. Typical Paul MUZAK. Just like John
said....
