I'm considering buying a 2005 Mini Cooper today. There is a bit of a
waiting list to get these cars (at least the one I want). I was a bit
nervous driving one of these cars on the freeway because they sit so low
and we have a lot of 18 wheelers blowing down our freeways here but one
test drive and I knew I wanted one. They are more affordable than you'd
think.
I couldn't really afford the S series with convertible but the one I'd
like comes with satellite radio and has 115 HP so getting on the freeway
shouldn't be too bad.
I'd like to get a custom "Yellow Submarine" paint job on it. I know
someone who can do this for $700. At $24K it aint a bad deal.

He works for a company that does artwork for buses, etc. There is a guy in
Richardson that he knows that would do the paint job (and he's done some
really wild stuff- especially on VW bugs). I'll see if he has any pictures
of his work (online) that I could direct you to.

You know those vinyl wraps that they use for adverts on buses and such?

Over the windows they use something perforated so you can still see
through them, but from the outside from a distance it just looks like
art. You could have the Beatles looking out portholes in each of the

Heh, I love it. I guess I'd have to have John driving and maybe Ringo or
Paul on the passenger seat. "Drive My Car" would have to be playing
(assuming that's the name of that song....). I'm so lame with some of the
Beatles song titles :/
