Two of Us again

I watched the film a second time and it's awesome. Poignant, fairly
accurate to the truth, colorful, interesting. They even showed Paul
putting his thumb in his mouth which he really did.

Did John really go into fancy restaurants and order just chocolate??

'Twasn't a 'fancy restaurant'; it was an approximation of Cafe La
Fortuna, a frequent hangout of John's, which is still on the upper west
side. More of an upscale coffeehouse than a restaurant.

At the end, why did Paul say he couldn't go to the TV show? It seemed
like it was John who suddenly couldn't go.

When Paul asks if it's okay to surprise John, John says something I
couldn't make out. Do you know what it was? It was when John was
boiling the water.
