Recently I've been listening to some AC/DC, and quite frankly they ain't
no Beatles. But my hypothetical question is if the Beatles had stayed
together do you think they would ever get close or even touch to Hard
Rock like AC/DC, KISS, Black Sabbath? I ask that because the 70s were
the years where some hard rocking bands came from. Maybe over the years
they would evolve again like the did from the early 60s teeny boppers to
groovy psychedelics of the late 60s. If not evolving to a hard rock type
group what would they have evolved into?

For a hint - and just a hint - at what they may have ended up sounding
like, check out "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love".

I'd be willin' to bet they'd sound something like their solo albums, acting
as each others' back-up band (except Ringo, who would've probably continued
to be influenced by the others on an individual basis). Who knows...if
George Martin stayed involved, they might've retained an "Abbey Road" feel
indefinitely.

Well, Paul rocked the hardest by far in the ' 70's for my money. Not
all the time, obviously, he did all kinds of tunes; but none of the
other solo Beatles put out anything as energetic and loud and
guitar-driven as "Beware My Love," "Letting Go," "Junior's Farm,"
"Jet," "Live and Let Die," "Helen Wheels," "Getting Closer," "Rockestra
Theme," "Soily," "Hi Hi Hi," "To You," "Girls' School," to name a few
(and later, keeping up the tradition with tracks like "Figure of
Eight," "Lonely Road," "Angry", "Get Out of My Way," etc.). Okay,
maybe some would still find none of those songs as "heavy/hard" as
stuff by AC/DC, Kiss, and Black Sabbath, but it'd be hard to make the
case that they're not far better than anything by those goofball hacks.
George in particular I think seemed to really settle permanently into
a really soft-rock mode....heavy Wings influence, really!
