I never bought records until 1975 or so. I think albums were $7 but
double albums were $11.

In 1964 "Meet The Beatles" was a whopping 2.99 in mono and 3.99 in
stereo! The singles were maybe 69c or something...someone may have to
refresh my memory on those...;)

Well, it depends on where a person lived. I bought the single of "Hey
Jude" for 68 cents..in
1968.

Yep, I dragged my dad to Newberry's in Feb '64 to purchase my first two
Beatles singles for $.69 a piece...

Yes, that's my memory, far less than a buck, around 70 cents. My
sister bought "I Want to Hold Your Hand" single on 2/6/64, and I bought
"She Loves You" on the day The Beatles arrived in New York, 2/7/64 from
a variety store called Mullaney's in tiny Bethel CT.

In my town singles were always a buck, even before the beatles.
But the album prices you quote are right on, and were the norm until the
late 60's.
