On youtube there is a spot with Helen Shapiro on Ready,Steady ,Go
singing Look Who It Is (written by JL). The caption says its her with

In fact, it's the same show (4 Oct 1963) where Dusty Springfield acts as
host and interviews the Beatles; you've probably seen the clip of that one.

But are you sure that John Lennon wrote it? Her manager wouldn't let her
record "Misery" earlier that same year, a song the Beatles said they wrote
for her.

It's not by Lennon; there's no archival record whatsoever of his
authorship.

The song sounds strikingly like Mitch Murray's "How Do You Do It," but
I haven't yet found any evidence that he wrote "Look Who It Is."

'Look Who It Is' was composed by Michael Hawker and John Schroeder.

Sure has a Lennon'esque sound to it, and the topic of boy/girl relationships
was the theme of a lot of Lennon song of the time.
