Check out the following video clip taken from the Mike Douglas show in
John and Chuck Berry sing "Memhpis Tennessee" in duet - perhaps not the
ghugle...

What I think I was trying to say is I thought it was sweet that Chuck
seemed oblivious to Yoko inserts like everyone has an odd uncle what
the hell...Advant guarde(sic) or experiental art/music may lead to
something that leads to something (Rock Lobster)..No one ever accused
Yoko of copying(except 'let's make whoopie' visa vie 'your my
angel')....

best vocal performance from either of them (to say the least) - but
they seem to have fun. I don't know if Chuck is trying to sing harmony
or if he is singing an octave above John - some might say it sounds
pretty awful.
Acting as a member of the band, Yoko is banging away on a kind of
handheld bongo drum.
And - about 1:20 into the song - she starts performing her screaming
sounds! To accompany "Memphis Tennesse"! Hilarious - truly bizarre. It i
s in fact so bizarre I am surprised this performance hasn't gone down as
a famous moment in rock history. She repeats her screaming towards the
end of the song as well.

I wanted to add that I own a VHS or DVD of the five shows with Mike
Douglas. This one with Chuck is especially nice . . . . John was
clearly thrilled to meet his idol. He appears to look like a kid in a
candy shop for much of the show.

John seemed overwhelmed singing with one of his rock n roll
idols.........human after all

Yes, that is one of the things that was so endearing. John really did
seem to be thrilled to be in the presence of his idol, not only during
their performance but at other times on the Mike Douglas Show.
There was one part of the show where John and Yoko wanted to introduce
the world to microbiotic cooking, so they invited this woman on to
demonstrate some cooking (I forget her name) It was funny to see
everyone (John, Chuck, Yoko, Mike Douglas and this lady cook) gathering
around to make something. I think John spent more time looking
"attracted" to Chuck then he did to anyone else on stage, including his
wife.

Could some one tell me . . . are John and Chuck's guitars plugged in? I
can't see any wires.
