Canadian EMI replacing of CAPITOL ALBUMS VOL. 2

I had called the number that someone had kindly posted here regarding the
replacement of the 2 screwed up discs in the new Capitol Albums Vol 2 set.
Today I received just a letter from EMI where I had been expecting a pre
paid postage envelope to return just the discs and proof of purchase but NO,

EMI will replace copies with Proof Of Purchase

If you recently bought the compact disc "The Capitol Albums Vol. 2" by The
Beatles, you may have heard that the mono masters of some copies of "Rubber
Soul" and "Beatles VI" were not the original mixes of the mono masters
intended to be included in this historic release.

EMI Music Canada will replace any copies with proof of purchase.

If you'd like replacements please return the two originally purchased CDs to
EMI, along with a copy of the 'proof of purchase' to the following address.
Once received, we will send the consumer the replacement copies

Consumer's name, address, original dated receipt and the existing two CDs in
their accompanying jackets must be included.

I am NOT pleased! First of all I don't fancy shipping the jackets as I fear
I will have them returned damaged (why do they need the jackets back too?)
AND I don't think it fair to place the additional cost of shipping and
handling on the consumers who purchased their flawed product! Anyone else
receive this letter? What a flippin' hassle!
