For the many, many times I have heard Revolution I was sure I heard

". . . you can count me out . . in"

I just saw a video of it, and I can see that what I heard was right.

What is the meaning of the "in?"

The entire song is revelatory of John's ambiguous feelings about violent
acts in the cause of revolutionary ends, and that bit is the clearest
expression of that meaning in the song. He was criticized fairly harshly
by many new leftist leaders around the world, who say his attitude as
naive and elitist, coming - as it does - from the angle of a very rich
man who already had all (at least materially) he could ever want, and
now seemed a bit too comfortable with the status quo, and didn't
comprehend the role of violence in historical movements. Ending the song
with "All right" wasn't too kindly looked upon either, as many felt it
wasn't "all right".

As I recall from interviews, John was not too sure of the message
himself, so he opted for both possibilities.
