OT: PR opinion...

I am curious to know if you have heard the Harper's Bizarre recording
ANYTHING GOES... and what you think of it.

It was a curiosity when it came out, but I liked it then and like it
now. It's a great song to begin with, and they gave it a slight
psychedelic sheen and remade it for the 60s. Their sound is an acquired
taste no doubt - more than a little twee - but it's solid enough, and is
worth a listen or two.

In any case, I don't care for it. The musicianship is sloppy (the
complex arrangement barely seems to hold together), and the
easy-listening vocals don't match the boisterous tone of the song's
intended mood.

Haven't heard the whole album. Can't say the concept appeals to me
on paper, though.
