seem to be overly concerned about it. Let's hope that they're correct.

Yes...I have my fingers crossed. Though it makes it hard to tie my shoes.

Although most of us wish the astronauts well, the Space Shuttle program
itself has been an expensive boondoggle, returning very little for the
expenditure. It was originally conceived to service a space station that
was never built, and has spent much of its time since doing hinky-dinky
experiments with honey bees and such which - according to most
scientists - have been next to worthless. This combined with the
disasters and near-disasters engendered by its poor design and NASA's
tendency to conceal rather than improve, has made the program a black
hole of money and expertise and effort. The one labor in which it might
have been of service - fixing the Hubble Telescope (which has been of
valuable scientific value - was scuttled.

Here's to hoping better programs (and 'times') come along...Cheers!

There are always loafers, although it might be tough driving to get
them with your fingers crossed.
