Okay..odd question I know..but everyone typically refers to the years
1963 and 1964 as the 'Beatlemania' years.

What could you call the years 1965-1966 (Help, Rubber Soul and
Revolver)?

Wellington Womble...
The baroque years, the introspective years, the pot years, the middle
period years...

Is there a common name given for those years?

cliff...
I think of it as the "Mod" period. Some other musicians I work with
say the same. I don't know if that is common beatles terminology, but
I think it fits.

blackburst...
The dope years

Cindy...
The tag went on past 64. I wouldn't say that everyone refers to those
years as that. Rather the early mid and later periods.

Dave Hinz...
Obviously you're not a musician. The craftsmanship in Rubber Soul, for
instance, is stunning.

Christian Henriksson...
Personally, I'd bundle Help! with the early albums, since I think it's
much more in that vein than it is similar to what came after.

Then Rubber Soul as the beginning of psychedelia, and Revolver would
go with Sgt. Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour as the psychedelic
albums.

Dave Hinz...
I call them "the jangly-guitar years". I love those albums.

Frank from Deeetroit...
A lot of tambourene was used during this period as well as the
jangly-guitars.
