I enjoyed the podcast there which features an interview with George
where he reveals that "The Day The World Gets 'Round" was written the
day after the Bangla Desh concert in reaction to the overwhelming
response the concert got.

Huh? I read somewhere where "The Day The World Gets Round" was recorded
a year before,
was a Phil Spector track, George erased Phil's vocal and then replaced
it with his own. Ok,
you're probably right..being that "The Concert For Bangledesh" was
recorded 2 years earlier.

I think you're confusing this song with "Try Some, Buy Some," a track
recorded and released in 1971 by Ronnie Spector, whose vocals were
later replaced with George's on the Material World album.
