New Capitol set - who got a corrected version and where?

For those who picked this up today (and care): did you get the
corrected version or the original run? If the corrected version -
where did you get it?

Im leary of picking it up until I know I'll be getting the correct
version. With no word yet on HOW Capitol will be replacing them I'd
rather wait.

If anyone hears how to get a corrected replacement please share.

I got it at Target (best price) - maybe I'll just exchange it at a different
Target store and hope for the best.

Why are you sad about having the original? It may be a collector's item
someday.

Two reasons:

1) I don't believe it will become a collectible, and if it does I don't
think it will be particularly valuable.

2) These aren't the albums I wanted. I'm American, and I grew up listening
to my parent's vinyls. I've been waiting forever for Capitol to issue them
on CD. These aren't the albums I grew up listening to.

Unlikely. There's nothing unique enough about them. The mixes are
simply the stereo versions encoded as mono. If, say, there was the
German mono version of some track which is different to the US version
then definately. But there's nothing special about these mixes you
couldn't do yourself without any effort.

Label misprints are generally the types of things that are worthy as
collectors items.

I got mine at the local Best Buy....I got the original also

I got the screwed up version at Circuit City for $43.59. I'm just going
to hold onto it until I hear something official about how to return it
to Capitol.

I think I got mine for $44.99 - the receipt is in the car.

I didn't even know there was an error until I read this thread. The first
thing I went to when I opened it was the false guitar start on I'm Looking
Through You. I wasn't even aware that it wasn't supposed to exist in the
mono version.

I haven't listened to the whole thing yet - I assume that the original and
corrected discs aren't mixed? That is, you wouldn't get an original Rubber
Soul and corrected Beatles VI in the same box?

Again, if anyone hears word on how to get a replacement from Capitol please
post it.

Got mine in the mail about a half hour ago from CDUniverse.com. It doesn't
have the false start guitar intro on "I'm Looking Through You" mono version,
so I guess it's the corrected set.

I also got the best price on it, too.
