I originally thought it was John who sang the "ahh...." in a Day in the Life
after Paul's "woke up got out of bed" bit. Then many in this group said if

That's because it is John. But if you scruitinize it enough,
you'll begin to think it's Fats Domino. By the way, I just
listened to DITL, and some chick is whispering something at
around 2:58 into it; who/what is that? Anyone know?

you listen closely you'll realize it was Paul. After listening to the 5.1
mix I concurred. Now as I read Emerick's book he matter of factly says it
was John (page 152).
My ears say Paul.

Now that I think about it... the voice singing that bridge has a very nasal
quality...

I've always known it was John...since 6/2/67.

This topic is of interest to me because I've been listening to that
song a lot lately. I always thought it was Paul. But all of a sudden
after over 35 years, and just recently, after listening to that part
over and over again, it sounded like John to me. It caught me by
surprise. I'm going to listen again and again and report back to this
group again.

Wasn't Carl Perkins in the studio that night? I've always noticed a
slight twang in the ahh-ahh-ahhhs.
