A couple of years ago, I heard a cover of "Help" by a blues artist
who's name, of course, I didn't get. The song was changed from 4/4
time to 6/8 time in an electric Chicago blues style and sung by either
a very high pitched guy or a female singer. The tempo was also
dramatically slowed from the Beatles' studio version. Does anyone have
any idea who recorded this version of "Help?" Thanks a lot for any
suggestions.

Was the song released?

argh. I have this on my hard drive, but, unfortunately, it's only identified
as "Help." no clue who it is...

I always sort of pictured John, had he lived, in concert, perhaps
perched on a stool, accompanied by his own guitar, taking this song
and slowing it down poignantly and dramatically, maybe with added
words. Didn't Springsteen slow down "Born To Run," to exemplify a
maturing take on it all?

Well, I think he did that because he'd left the E-Street Band behind
for the tour. I agree with you about John, though - if he ever sang
that song again, it probably would have been as a solo acoustic.

Sounds like it might be the version by Triple Toruble. There's a clip
