I'm not sure why exactly Heather Mills was so "unliked"
by assorted Beatles fans & McCartney fans alike. She

Seriously?
Did you see her on Larry King?
Make your toes curl, uninformed, nasty, combative and overbearing.
She

Perhaps it's because she tries to elevate herself by insulting the
Beatles. For example, saying that she admires Linda McCartney "much
more than, say, a Beatle" is not going to win her any points with the
Beatles fans. She could have simply said, "I admire Linda" instead of

But isn't that a sort of Lennon-esque authencity in of itself?
She isn't being critical of the men, she is just being
critical of the mass-celebrity. She is saying in
essence "hey, I'm not impressed that somebody
is a big star/celebrity". Both John & Yoko
echo-ed similar sentiments.
"She doesn't need a Beatle. Who needs a Beatle?"

trying to take her husband down a notch.

has always struck me as someone who was very intelligent,
thoughtful, passionate, and quite good for Paul -- in that
she got him involved in various causes & activism and
forced him to be more preoccupied with things larger than just
his own vanity & self-interests -- which is a positive thing.
In many respects, Heather made Paul "hip" again, as he

Wellm "hip" in the 38 year old sense of the word. Basically anything
revolving around her.
as he
|
once was back in the days where he was strutting around
with the artful Jane Asher and seen nodding his head in agreement
to Lennon's blistering public rants on the comtemptable
Vietnam War and various other ills & inequities of society.
McCartney seemed a lot 'cool'-er and thoughtful over the
last 4 years or so, than he has in many, many years. As a

Actually he seemed pretty lost. Look at the pathetic wedding he paid
for.
As a
|
strong, forceful personality, she also seemed to be an equal
in their relationship - rather than a subordinate to Paul - which
is really the best kind of relationship that you can have.

She wanted Paul to be her subordinate.
|
As far as the details of their marriage/breakup etc., all the
insults & accusations leveled at Heather Mills about being
a golddigger etc. are really totally unfounded.
Heather's activism is part of her soul and who she is as a person.
For McCartney, he grew tired of it. At least one account stated

I think her constant comabtive attitude and irritating Geordie accent
may have a lot more to do with it, and the fact that she was downright
emabarrassing to watch.
At least one account stated
|
that it was also McCartney and not Heather Mills that had filed for
the separation. So, why would people turn it around and try & claim
that Heather was then the one instigating the whole breakup to
steal his money?
This makes no sense. What is far likely here is that you just
have two strong personalities that proved ultimately to be more
incompatible over time .. then compatible.
Let's not demonize Heather Mills (as Yoko was) just
because a relationship didn't work out.
