Yes, in 1967. When the fabs where making Pepper, Their old engineer Norman
Smith was promoted to producer, and one of his first bands was the Floyd. He
brought them into studio 2 Abbey Road where they exchanged "Half hearted
Hellos" according to Lewisohn.

According to Schaffner's book, the Beatles were quite gracious and
encouraging to the newcomers.
The members who talked to them commented on how fondly they recalled the
experience.
