...on a recording by a non-Beatle? I think mine might be "My Dark Hour"
by Steve Miller... perfect gonzo Paul tune.

Any idea if that's Paul on Kow Kow Kalqulator?

That's a great one. I enjoy George's playing on the alternate version
of "If Not For You".
From what I recall of the liner notes to the "Anthology" LP (Steve's,
not the Beatles'), "My Dark Hour" was the only song to feature Paul.

When I saw the topic heading, I thought it referred to TV guest
appearance.

My favorite two TV appearances were by George on Saturday Night live in
November 1976, and when he appeared, unadvertised in advance, on the
Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour in October 1968. The film clips of "Hey
Jude" and "Revolution", respectively, had their American debut on the
Smothers Brothers Show (the same film as shown on David Frost in the
UK) on two successive weeks. If memory serves me right, George helped
on the intros to "Revolution" from the set of the Smothers Brothers
Show. It was a total surprise, and the audience was surprised too.
