Sung Fine Line and Helter Skelter. Thought he performed them
exceptionally well. Thoughts?

First, these sorts of shows should only be watched after Tivo'ing -- fast
forward through the 75% junk.
Paul's performance was definitely the highlight of this Grammys (or maybe
even any Grammys show - or at least near the top). Paul's voice seemed a
abe slaney...

I missed McCartney's part of the show, unfortunately. Of what I did see,
my favorite by far was Allen Toussaint (particularly) and the assorted
others in the grande finale. Producers always want to turn these numbers
into star-studded everybody-gets-a-verse spectaculars, but that
treatment doesn't do much for me. I'd rather have seen Allen Toussaint's
band than The Edge and Bruce Springsteen and Elvis Costello and Bonnie
Raitt, etc...I mean, those are the musicians who really *are* the
victims of Hurricane Katrina, which is what that segment was supposedly
about. But I guess they aren't telegenic enough for such an important
tribute in their honor...

little shaky at the beginning of Fine Line but he recovered brilliantly.
That Helter Skelter perfomance was excellent. Vocals in great form and that
band is great and was giving its all. Love that drummer - he put so much
into it he looked nearly ready to collapse by the end.
This was one of the best things that you will ever see at the Grammys.
