Sir Paul McCartney Thinks Heather Mills Is 'Gold-Digger'
She ain't messin with no small figure....

By: Chris Taylor on

Sir Paul McCartney thinks his estranged wife Heather Mills is a
"gold-digger", according to the paper who broke the news of their
split.

As we reported yesterday, the former Beatle is bracing himself for a
bitter divorce battle after officially filing formal divorce
proceedings citing 'unreasonable behaviour'.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Sir Paul is angered the
ex-model has gone back on an agreement to have a 'quickie' divorce,
where she would receive =A330 million of his vast fortune - believing
she'll now hand on for up to =A3200 million instead.

A source says, "Paul believes Heather wants as much money as she can
get. He thinks she is proving herself to be nothing better than a
gold-digger.

"Paul is a reasonable guy who doesn't like confrontation. He wanted to
keep the divorce quick and amicable for the sake of their daughter
Beatrice - but feels Heather is being difficult and trying to drag
things out.

"In his eyes they had agreed they wanted to make the divorce quick and
painless and a settlement was virtually in place - but then Heather
started getting unreasonable because she wanted more money. She wants
as much as she can."

However, a friend of Mills vigrously denies the claims, saying,
"There has been no financial offer. She is outraged by the suggestion
she's a money-grabber.

"Paul has always been tight with his money towards her. She was having
to pay the mortgage on their Hove home where she is based until a few
months ago.

"She even went on chat shows to raise money to pay staff, people like
her secretary. This is likely to form part of her counter-claim."

There could be very legitimate legal reasons he did some of these
things, such as not comingling funds RE: her non-profit and staff. Not
only in terms of lawsuits against the non-profit, I imagine, but also
just in case a divorce happened. Her non-profit existed before he came
along and co-mingling can really mess things up. Also, I wouldn't put
it past her to tell him he couldn't do ANYTHING related to her
non-profit; it was all hers.

Things are getting very messy, and we have a horrible feeling this is
going to drag on and on....
