Mentioned elsewhere, there are loads of songs with the title
"Yesterday". I wonder though what is the most commonly used title?
I'd hazard a guess at "Tonight". Anyone know better?
The thing with Beatles song titles is that they are so well known you'd
expect everyone writing since then to avoid those titles like the
plague. But have they? Has anyone since the Beatles written a song
called "Get Back" or "Help!", etc., etc.?

I recall reading many years ago that Neil Young had recorded an entire
album of songs which were his own, but had the titles of other well
known songs. Obviously, if this story is true, it was never released,
though at least one song, "LIttle Wing" was released, on his "Hawks And
Doves" album. I'm not sure if others were on subsequent releases.

Well - I wrote a song called "Here Comes the Sun" (although the next
line is "everybody run": I'm not a sun person!), but - in general -
people try to avoid such things.

Of course our own Paul McCartney has written and recorded two different
songs each called "Hold Me Tight."

Bad Company & Toto also did an "Anna" (but that wasn't really a Beatles
tune) and a whole raft of people did a "Tell Me Why" besides Neil Young
including Elvis and Bobby Vinton. I remember my first roomie's brother
accidentally bought "Go Back" by Crabby Appleton thinking he was getting
Get Back. Go Back was actually a great song that I first heard performed
in the late seventies by Martha Hull (The Dinettes) of The DCeats.
