ZINSKYR...
Not much has been said about this GREAT DVD. Not only does it show the
Sullivan shows, the additional footage is so intriguing. The shots in
the apartment are snipets of intrigue. The one where Lennon is playing
flute and it is the first remnants of Strawberry Fields even at this
early stage. Goes to show tunes running around in the head all the
time. The clarity of the Sullivan Shows is great. The opening number
AML with the triplet figure John plays on the Rickenbacker is so
effortless - that not easy to play, taking a guitarist years to master.
The solo break to AML is seen played. If you've played that solo you
know.

Lookingglass...
What I enjoy about this "documentary" is that it has no narration...nobody
telling us what is happening. It is just raw film of the Beatles and what
was going on around them. It was an exciting time.

Another comment about the "Melodica/Strawberry Fields" scene...it is my
understanding that it was Paul McCartney that composed that particular
musical figure for the Mellotron opening of SFF...that does not mean that
John was not playing with the phrase, but it was Paul's suggestion to begin
the song with it.

Did any one notice that the song MONEY was being played by the dance band
when Murray the K and the boys went out 'clubbing'...? Had the Beatles
recorded MONEY before this event?

dancin' dave (...I saw a film today...oh boy...)

Chuck...
Yes, MONEY was on With the Beatles, which was released on 22 November
1963 in the UK.
