Hugs and purrs, Marina, on this sad anniversary.

First, purrs for the anniversary of Nikki's passage. I tried loading
the page on Firefox here at work and found that it needed the plugin for
WAV media files, even though I already have Windows Media Player on my
computer. Firefox said it wanted the Apple Quicktime plugin, so I had
It setup the WAV file association in Firefox to use Quicktime to play
downloaded WAVs and I could hear the purr. I then changed the download
action to play with the default player (Tools - Options - Downloads -
View & Edit Actions), changed the WAV action from Quicktime to Open with
Default Application (Windows Media Player), saved the settings, closed
firefox & restarted it. Now I get Nikki's purr playing embedded via
WMP. I'm not very familiar with Firefox - I'd like to manually create
file associations so I wouldn't have to download something and just use
an app I already have.

If I may, I'd like to add hugs and purrs, too. I know how hard
anniversaries are. {{{{Marina}}}}

Thank you, Adrian. I've been thinking about my baby girl a lot, and I
updated Nikki's page a little.

Purrs for you, and Nikki, and what the hey, Frank too. I'll light an
anniversary candle for this special girl.

Thank you, Rosie. Not a day goes by when I don't think of those two.
They were such a large part of my life for such a long time.

Thank you for the link. I hadn't seen the first picture before, of
Nikki standing on the pillory. She's so cute! Such whiskers! Such
eyes! Such ears!

That was beautiful, and so was she. Purrs for you both.
Marina...

She was. Thank you, Theresa.

What a nice tribute. You'll always be able to smile when you see that
picture of her feet sticking out of the box.

I remember taking that picture. It was one of the rare moments when you
wish you had a camera nearby, and then you realize you do. I was
watching TV and looked around for Nikki, because she would usually make
me company when I watched TV. Then I saw the legs sticking out of the
box. After falling about laughing for five minutes, I thought, where's
the camera? Can I get it without disturbing her? and I realized it was
on the table by my chair. So for once, I had a camera just when I needed
one.

That's one of my favorite wallpapers, Nikki in the box with the feet
sticking straight up.

Thanks, Lydia. I hope Nikki is playing with Jazz as we speak, both of
them young and healthy again.

It's hard, isn't it? I think we all grieve with you for both Frank and
Nikki, as they were wonderful and remarkable cats. I hope that she is
getting plenty of water vole hunting time up at the bridge, and that
Frank gets plenty of laid back uncle time with the rest of the gang up
there.
