Well, I went and picked up Barney ferret from the RSPCA today. He's come
home and so far, touch wood, introductions to Gertie are going well.

I just completed my move from California to Arizona (more or
less) and found a PetSmart near me. (They carry a large
selection of supermarket catfood at twenty cents less per
6-oz. can than I was paying in California, BTW.) I'd never
seen a ferret before (I think someone here said California
didn't allow ferrets as pets). PetSmart had some right next
to the area where the cat rescue people were displaying
(adorable) kittens. I can see their charms - the fur looks
so SOFT, and they sleep all sprawled out on their backs like

They are waaaay more naughty than kittens, if that is possible. They
make hooliganism a fine art form. ;o) They are cute and very cuddly - if
they deign to stay still long enough. ;o)

Whilst I was at the animal centre, I met Lassie.
Marina...
She's a very sweet dog who is about the same size as my dog Bonnie. I'm
very torn.... I took her for a walk whilst I was waiting for Barney, and
she is very quiet but has a wicked sense of humour. I need another dog
like I need a hole in the head, and Robbie has a problem with dogs too.
She's an older lady who gets passed by every time, because she's not
much to look at, and she doesn't sell herself well.
So why am I planning on taking Bonnie to meet her tomorrow to see if
they get on?

I forgot to add that Barney cat wishes Barney ferret a fuzzy-warm welcome to
his new home - and wants to know when Barney ferret can come over to play &
annoy Lizzie, Moe & Smokey with him (Barney cat)????
