Susan M...
Otis threw up 5 times today and there are small places where he's had some
dry-ish heaves as well. He was licking his lips all night last night and is
still doing the same thing today, though less frequently.

Monique Y. Mudama...
Poor Otis. Purrs for his swift recovery.

I hope it will clear up on its own in short order but will watch him
carefully over the next day. Poor little guy's dragging a bit. He's

I had this with HRFL Tiger a while back and I couldn't figure out what
was making him feel rough as he seemed fine in himself (i.e. litter box
offerings were normal etc). Turned out that his anal glands were blocked
and where his was licking his butt, he was making himself feel ill and
puke. If it continues, it might be worth TED checking Otis out.

Hope Otis feels better soon.

drinking though, which is good.

Susan M...
Thank you for your purrs. I took Otis to TED this AM because he was
dragging this AM too. TED (the one who found him when he was lost 1.5 miles
from our house 3 years ago) said that Otis was generally looking ok. He's

polonca12000...

well hydrated, temp is good, physical exam shows no obvious blockages or
lumps. We've taken him off food and water until tonight, he had a pepcid
shot and a shot of something else for his stomach, and we'll give him pills
of the same for the next few days. If diarrhea starts or he doesn't perk
up, he'll be back at TED's tomorrow.

badwilson...
Purrs for Otis to perk up and quit hurling. I hope he doesn't have to
go back to TED's again.

Not only did Otis hurl *all* over our new carpet (I've now counted 8 spots)
but he jumped up on my dresser to find the European design magazines that
our architect left us and hurled on one of them. It was nice of him to try
a magazine instead of the carpet but did he have to choose that one? We'll
have to rip off the cover to give it back to the architect.

badwilson...
Ooops! I hope the architect doesn't mind. When are you guys starting
your big project? What plan have you come up with concerning Otis and
what to do with him during the construction?

My big brave Otis stood on the examining table and burrowed his head into me
again. He operates on the theory that if he can't see TED then TED can't
see him. It's kind of touching.

badwilson...
Vino did that to Dennis when we had to take him out of his carrier at
the airport when we first came to Thailand. It was soooo sad, but sweet
too!

Thanks again and I'll keep you posted. I probably panicked too soon and
took him in too soon ... but he's my boy ...

Karen AKA KajiKit...
Many purrs for Otis to feel better! If I had my way Scouty would have
been at the TEDs at nine o'clock this morning too... but she's not
totally 'flat' the way Silver was when she had her hairball.

Victor Martinez...
Better safe than sorry.

Marina...
Still purring for Otis. I'm sure TED asked this, but could Otis have
eaten some plant that didn't agree with him? Or anything else slightly
toxic (obviously not terribly toxic, though).

badwilson...
Better safe than sorry.
