Stoshu's Cup

There's a local polka band who, in the interest of spurring the Sabres
on to winning the Stanley Cup, have recorded a little piece called
"Let's Get Stoshu's Cup." (Actually spelled Stasiu, means Little
Stanley.) Now, considering the thrashing we got from Carolina the past
two games, if we go on to the finals and actually win the thing, I
wonder if the Sabres will do a publicity shot with my Little Guy? I'd
love to see Stosh sitting inside "Stoshu's Cup," handsome in his little
tuxedo, looking like he's going to a fancy ball to celebrate the win!
I'm considering writing the Sabres. They can keep the rights to it even,
as long as we get ourselves a copy of the picture.

Only in Buffalo would we do our cheerleading with a polka!

The Sabres beat our Ottawa Senators. I think some local celebrities
had to eat wings and wear Sabres shirts instead of those in Buffalo
eating beavertails and wearing Sens shirts.

Works for me. I don't particularly care who wins the cup, but the idea
of Stosh in the cup or posing with it is attractive to me. I'd send
them a copy of his picture and explain what a good publicist he'd make
for them.

Hey, you have nothing to lose by writing. Only I wouldn't say "if". I'd
say, "When you win the cup..." ;-) You might even include a picture of
Stosh, to show how photogenic he is.
