Zerbras, gazelles, wildebeest...............

Lorna...
Yes! I love the way it stays close to mama, and it's long graceful legs.
Am also thrilled to see gazelle leaping across the screen - so fast, they're
hard to see sometimes.

When I was watching, maybe 2 hours ago, I saw: gazelle, zebras, wildebeest,
and I think a buffalo or two. It was peaceful, everyone was chowing down
on the abundant greenery. It looked like paradise! Then all of a sudden,
the gazelle started running all over the place - all of them, racing in
one direction, and then another. I thought maybe lions were coming. But
nobody else seemed in the least bit perturbed. So I guess maybe the
gazelle were just playing.

MaryL...
Yes, I saw that. It looked like to play to me because a number of them were
jumping around -- sort of like giant rabbits. It amazes me to see all these
species that seem to just mingle peacefully and hardly notice each other.

Marina...
Here's an interesting fact I remember from a nature show: when the baby
zebra is born, its mother makes sure to stand in front of it for x
amount of time, shielding its gaze from the other zebras, so that the
baby will imprint on the mother (each zebra has a unique pattern of
stripes).

Pat...
I've tried a few times to see the Africam. All I can see is a black screen
that flickers every few seconds, and I hear the sound of birds chirping.
Lots and lots of birds. No picture. What am I doing wrong?

Lorna...
Here it is - hope you enjoy..................

jmcquown...
Alas, I can't view it anymore. I have to have Windows Media Player
installed and to install it I must install Service Pack 2. SP2 is what got
me into all that PC trouble last weekend. Not going down that road again!
LOL So I'll just have to listen to you folks revel in what you're seeing.
I did love viewing it all those years ago.

jmcquown...
Actually, I was told by the Dell representative NOT to install SP2 from the
MS website. There is a "patch" available for the version of the opsys that
came with my Dell PC which is not included in the version you can d/l off
the MS site. So no, I don't think I'll bother until Microsoft can provide
me with one I know is "safe". I will be setting new system restore points
on a regular basis, though.
