Susan M...
Hi there:

Baby ??? is due in 3 weeks but all signs point to the possibility of an
earlier arrival like his big sister. I spent the weekend in bed trying to
keep him in and was awakened last night by two huge contractions.

Pat...
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep us
posted!

And was also awakened, I must add, by an ornery cat from 4 AM on. Bad Otis.
He stepped on some very painful places just for good measure. Ouch.

Anyway, I sit in the midst of the carnage of my house. We have to move our
office into the dining room to make room for the little guy, which
necessitates a series of chess moves of stuff around the house. The master
bedroom is ripped apart, the office is ripped apart, and the dining room
needs to be reorganized. Yikes. I've hired an out of work nanny to come in
and help with what she can and will have lots of help from family when it
comes to the heavy lifting. But I have to say its pretty demoralizing.

I know it will all get finished one way or the other but some kind thoughts
to baby to stay put until next week and to me not to get irrevocably
discouraged by the mountains of stuff lying around would be greatly

appreciated.

Lots of purrs on the way, Susan!

Victor Martinez...
Baby-stay-where-you-are purrs on the way!

I vow not to keep anything unless it is absolutely necessary from now on.
So much stuff we've accumulated that's useless!

Jo Firey...
Sure sounds like serious nesting to me. Tear up the whole house in an
effort to get it organized.

But all that really counts is a healthy happy baby and a healthy happy mom.

Annie Wxill...
Susan,
Absolutely no heavy lifting for you. You do not want to be in labor and
traction at the same time, right?

Try not to be overwhelmed by the job. You probably are in the nesting phase
of pregnancy and will be compulsive about re-arranging and cleaning.

We are sending best wishes for a smooth delivery and healthy baby who is not
in too much of a hurry.

We are sending lots of purrs and best wishes for everything to go really
well for you and your baby,
Polonca and Soncek

Sam...
"Stay put" purrs on the way for the little one and "keep calm, Mom"
purrs on the way for you.

sriddles...
OOoo, Susan. I'm so excited for you. I didn't realize the ETA was so
soon. Don't worry about the stuff. All of us have too much stuff. I
live in various stages of disarray all the time.

Oooh, Susan! Best wishes for the baby to hang on *just long enough* but
not a second more! I am in awe of any one who doesn't go insane going
completely to, or past, term. I was climbing the walls with both girls
with 3 weeks to go. Fortunately, they were both early, and quite big
enough. Hard to believe my little one is 9 months old today :)

And do take it easy, enjoy your right to direct others with your feet
up!

Susan M...
Thank you Caroline. How early were your two? How big? My daughter was 2
weeks early and 7 lbs exactly and my son was 3 days early and 8lb 9oz. With
the size of my son, I'm not keen on waiting all that much longer ;-)

And yes, it's hard to believe how they grow up so fast. My first is almost
9 years old! She's gone from an extra fat round little baby to a
ridiculously tall spitfire in what seems like a blink of an eye. Time seems
to have sped up since they've been in school. They mature so quickly and
learn so much!

Take care,

Susan M

All best
Caroline S.

Karen...
Ooh! Good luck!

Ginger-lyn...
You got it, Susan. Stay in there! Not yet! You'll never be as
comfortable as where you are now!

No discouragement allowed for mom, either!
