Jack Campin - bogus address...
My Muriel is about 16 or 17, and she's a silver tabby - she was named
after the Scottish comedienne/journalist Muriel Gray. The only sign
of age she's displaying is that she's almost entirely deaf (no reaction
at all when you rattle a box of crunchies in the same room; a few years
ago that would have brought her in from the other end of the garden in
seconds).

I play traditional music (mostly Scottish) on a variety of instruments.
One tune I really like is "The Old Grey Cat", a reel or hornpipe
which goes up dramatically to a high B in the second half. And I've
just got a C melody tenor saxophone, which is one of the loudest wind
instruments in creation (certainly the loudest thing I've ever played).
So I thought I'd try Muriel's tune on it.

I *just* got an ear twitch on that high B after pointing the bell of
the sax at her almost point-blank.

Am I going to have to buy a heavy-metal amp and speaker stack to keep
her entertained?

Jo Firey...
Or just switch to percussion instruments that she can feel rather than hear.

jmcquown...
Like the bodhran I have :) Drives Persia nuts.
