Grizzly got her evening "crazies" (or zoomies, if you prefer, but that
hardly does it justice) right on schedule tonight and even seemed to
step it up a bit over her usual antics. she seemed to be going out of
her way to leap over stuff in her racing around--all 3 other cats, the
boxes and bags I leave lying about for other kitty games and
hideaways, and what have you.
part of the obstacle course tonight was my shop-vac, still sitting out
from earlier use. failing to achieve quite enough lift, she
apparently clipped the switch with a hind foot. did I mention that
the vac was plugged in? oh, did I laugh.

LOL. Cats are such fun to laugh at. Er, with, I mean with ... no, I
mean at.

I'm surprised (though of course grateful) that I didn't have four
puddles to clean up after that.

If you had a video of that it would be worth money. :-)

I think it wouldn't have captured much more than a blur--and I mean
before the sucky monster woke up, let alone after.

LOL!!! Eeek, it's ALIVE!!!!
Seeing how my regular home vacuum causes both my cats to run and hide,
I'm sure a shop vac roaring to sudden life must have caused a lot of
consternation in the ranks. =o)

mine is a pretty small one and not much louder than my push-vac. I
think they were more surprised by the fact that it came on at all
(especially Grizzly, having touched it to wake it up) than frightened by
the noise. usually they have warning as I drag it out of the closet
and such. but at the end of it all, yes, consternation did indeed
abound.

Whenever I drag out my purple Dyson, Rita jumps on the couch to watch.
She's fascinated by it. I've never seen a cat who wasn't terrified by
the sucky monster! She's just amazing.
