People send in pics of "mystery" bugs, and the Bug Man identifies the
bug for them. Here is the cricket page:

You can see that there are a lot of different crickets, and you can
also see how different the cave, or camel cricket, is from plain old
field crickets. It is a *nasty*-looking beastie. Mole crickets are
also pretty disturbing-looking.

Wow, thanks, Theresa. I *love* insects, Nüle does too. She coined a phrase
to describe us : insectologists! Which goes towards explaining one of the
few German words I know, ameisen, ants.

Our e-mails are full of what we have recently seen, insects, fungi, plants,
birds etc. Other things too of course but we do have such a lot of things
in common in loving and being interested in nature.
Thank goodness for Latin - we have to fall back on this quite a lot to
describe what we have seen as the common German and English words are, of
course, quite different.
