Unfortunately, the 'puter is in the hottest room in the apartment, so
I have missed a few days of posts, and can't get caught up! So purrs
to everyone who needs them, congratulations to everyone who deserves
them, hugs to everyone who needs them, and I hope we are all a lot
cooler now!

The cats have mostly been spending time in the Cool Room with me.
They are hanging in there in spite of the heat. Although I
accidentally left poor Brando locked in the bedroom yesterday when I
and cataracts). By the time I got back and let him out, he gave me
*quite* an earful! At least he was cool!

Monique Y. Mudama...
Sounds like Brando will survive the trauma ;-)

Purrs for your eyes.

Jo Firey...
Very sorry about the optometrist news. Cataracts usually aren't a huge
problem. There is only minor discomfort from the surgery and having to put
drops in after. And it is way offset by the improvement in vision. Not
just clarity, but colors. Amazing colors you may not have seen in years.

Macular problems are of course a bigger deal. Here's hoping that since it
was an optometrist, they are only a potential problem. Or if they are an
actual problem, it is the more treatable kind. And that in either case you
find a skilled doctor that can help you to deal.

(Sorry Brando. That's life when you go in the wrong room and hide)

Joy...
Jo said just what I was going to say. Cataracts are no big deal. I've had
cataract surgery on both eyes. I still need glasses, but without them I see
better than I did with them before the surgery. There are various kinds of
macular problems, and I join Jo in hoping the problem is treatable.

polonca12000...
Lots of purrs and best wishes for the eye problems to not be too serious,
Polonca and Soncek
