1. What is a reticulated garden? I've been looking at houses to rent on
realestate.com.au and they often mention that a house has a reticulated
garden. I have no clue about what this means.

Hi Britta :)
Reticulation is a piped watering system for the garden. If you have a
reticulated garden, you don't have to carry hoses and buckets around to

water it.

2. What appliances usually come with a rental house? The site is very
low on info and I was wondering if I should expect a fridge to come with
it or will I have to go and buy one? What about a washer/dyer?

Usually the only thing included is a stove, unless the property is
rented fully furnished, which is not common over on this side of the
country. You'd have to get your own fridge, but there'll probably be a
laundromat in Margaret R if you don't get a washer right away. We don't
really need dryers here in Aus!

Sigh. That's what I was afraid of :-( We're definitely not going to
rent a furnished place. We have enough of our own furniture coming. I
guess I'll have to check in Bunbury for a fridge, they should deliver to
MR. Just one more thing to worry about.
Yeah, I guess we have some time with the washer/dryer. However, I'm
pretty sure Dennis will insist on the dryer. He has this weird thing
about line dried clothes, says they turn hard and crunchy and he hates
that. Personally, I don't mind but I'm not about to argue.

I'm with Dennis on this one. I line-dry towels, sheets, anything that I
don't wear. But he's right---unless the wind is blowing 50 mph the
clothes are hard and crunchy!
Good luck with the move!
