Helen Miles...
Hi folks,

After some *Very* careful consideration and a long discussion with the
RSPCA staff at the shelter, I've decided not to adopt Lassie. She is

Enfilade...
Helen you have done what is best for everyone. Purrs for Lassie to
find an appropriate home.

When we took in Smokey we made alternate arrangements for another home
(as a barn cat) if it turned out that Smokey 1. harmed or threatened to
harm Nox 2. had FIV/FLV or 3. was destructive or otherwise couldn't
adjust to life in a high-rise. Of course I wanted him but I realized
that bringing a cat from the wild, who had been living on rabbits and
seagulls, into the heart of the city was a gamble.

Lassie needs another kind of home. Bright Blessings for her and you.

apparently unreliable with cats and as much as I would love to rescue
her, I am not prepared to take the risk with the resident mogs in the
house. There is also the consideration that I am out of the house 9-5
Monday to Friday, and the person who looks after Bonnie (my gran) can't
actually cope with 2 dogs. She has difficulty with Bonnie, and Bonnie is
actually her registered assistance dog.

So, sadly my head must rule my heart. :o(

That's sad, but definitely for the best for your resident furry people.
Purrs that Lassie finds an understanding and loving home.

You tried - but you are one of the few that use their heads as much as their
hearts. I commend you for that! You evaluated what would be best for all
members in your household, not just what you "felt" like doing!

Purrs for lassie to find a loving home with someone as understanding as
yourself!
