Victor Martinez...
We went for a walk down to Town Lake this afternoon. We left around 6pm
and came back at 8pm. As we always do, we verified all doors were
locked. When we arrived, Tom said, the back door is open! I said, what?
The patio door was open, so we rushed outside. Fez was on the patio and
he came back immediately. I told Tom to go get a head count and I rushed
outside calling kitties. Maya was in the enclosure looking out and I
heard Luna crying. I started calling her and she came running from way
back in the garden toward me. I grabbed her and brought her inside. By
then Tom had counted heads and we were complete. Phew!
Tom swears the patio door was locked (the bolt was sticking out) when he
saw the door open. How on earth did the door open if the bolt was
locked? How long was the door open? Who else went outside?
My heart is beating really, really fast, but I'm very thankful everybody

Cheryl...
I'm glad they're all accounted for. I sure know that feeling! A
couple of years ago I started a thread about Shamrock called
"Shamrock's big adventure" in which he had gotten out and I didn't
know it until I noticed he wasn't underfoot. Workers were in the
house and they didn't pull the storm door shut tight and he simply
pushed it open and got out. One of them yelled upstairs asking if I
had a black and white cat and that he wanted in. YIKES. I still
remember how scared he made me that day.

is accounted for. Luna is looking out the window with a lot of interest.
I'm afraid she's figured out how to open locked doors!!!!

Sam...
So glad to hear that everybody is accounted for. Hoping there are no
similar shocks in the future.

Marina...
Uh-oh, I think you're in trouble now. So glad nothing more serious
happened. Purring for your nerves, and hoping it was a one-off.

I'm so relieved all ended well!
Best wishes,
