Sorry to say yesterday was a 'holiday', Martin Luther King's birthday.

Actually, he was assassinated in '68. I can't imagine what it must have
been like in Memphis when that happened - probably just as well you were
out of the country!

Every city has its terrible moments (I just finished reading "Devil
in the White City") but that was particularly terrible. I sometimes
wonder what might be different if the assassinations of the '60s had
not taken place.
