OT for Buropeans: Lordy, Lordi

Helsinki arranged a victory party for Lordi on Friday evening at the
Market Square downtown. The City expected some thousands of fans, but a
total of over 90,000 showed up, from all over the country. The President
(whose palace is right by the Market Square) came out after Lordi's
opening number and ceremoniously handed over a symbol honouring Finnish
labour, a bronze key with the Finnish flag as its bit. Then she zipped
back to the palace (on foot) and Lordi went on with their concert. Aw,
this seems so typically Finnish to me.

You could have a point. After all, has anyone seen Marina and Lordi in the
same room at the same time? Eh? Eh? Next time she posts pics of the cats,
look in the background for pots of latex...
