I almost managed to get my schedule back to normal, then had a slight
setback thanks to the cats.
Monday night was a wash, I had to be up early Tuesday and only got about 3
hours of sleep. Had a long nap yesterday afternoon but it was not enough to
keep me from being asleep by 10:30 last night.
My last conscious thought of the day was "THIS IS IT!!! I will get up at a
decent hour
in the morning and the goal will have been reached."
Woke up during the night to pee and thought again, "THIS IS IT!!! I'll wake
up again with a full bladder at the perfect early morning hour, and stay
up."
Sure enough, just as the sun was starting to rise, I woke up again, stumbled
to the bathroom and back in a semi-stupor, thinking "I will lay here and
commune with the cats for a few minutes, then get up and start the day."
The bed was indeed covered with cats, none of whom showed the slightest
indication of being ready to get up. Their mood soon overtook me, and I told
myself, "Well, I've certainly had enough sleep now, so it can't hurt to
snooze for just a bit longer."
Next thing I knew, it was 10:30 AM and I had slept for 12 full hours. My
first thought on rising was, "How in blazes am I going to get to sleep at a
decent hour tonight?"
Oddly, I feel like I could go to sleep right now and stay there for the rest
of the day. Thank goodness I can't, as I have a lot of work to get done
while the sun is up.
I'll be making a concerted effort to fall asleep around midnight CST today
and would appreciate some help from any of you who are awake at that time.
Please send some poppy-field purrs my way, and tomorrow I'll let you know if
they worked....

I will probably be asleep then, as it will be early morning here, but
I'm pretty sure the cats will be able to send sleepy purrs at that hour.
