Well the cooler weather is here and Kayla is back is class for a refresher
course in proper doggie behavior. Not that she doesn't know what she is supposed to do, more of a reminder that I mean it when I tell her to sit, stay, down, etc. Every time. A down is not a sit and if your chest isn't touching the ground it isn't a down either. Also sit involves facing the way I want you too, and no fair leaning on my foot. (Kayla is extremely smart, but kind of casual if you know what I mean) So we were out practicing this morning to avoid her embarrassing me in class again. It is best to work a dog with distractions so they won't be distracted by the other dogs in class. We were a few houses down in a nice clear shady spot. Working on the stay. Molly decided this was too good to pass up. So she came over and proceeded to rub up against me and against Kayla. Wove between her feet. Leaned on her. Licked her a few times. Kayla held her stay, and Molly gets to spend the rest of the day telling everyone what a tough kitty she is. polonca12000...
